Tonight the Hoogstraat breaks loose. A man walks
through mud, where the Maas once flowed free.
No city, no lights, only fields and dream. The
wind blows the scent of the land into his face.
A story begins where history lives. The dark
tears open.
Rotterdam rises again from water and fire. The
Hoogstraat opens like never before.
Here stood reeds, here stood clay. And you and I,
we walk now where the river once ran.
And now, in this time, in this night, the city
runs blood-red through the streets. The Hoogstraat lives.
You feel it, I feel it. This is our story. The
Hoogstraat — where life began.
